The Mission of the Henry County Middle School Library Media Center is to provide activities and resources that will assist students and staff in becoming
effective and discriminating users of information, developing a pattern of lifelong learning, and in fostering a love of reading.

I have loved libraries, books, and learning new things since I was a little girl! Growing up in an Air Force family, we moved around a lot. I always knew where the local library was! My high school years were spent at Peoria High School in Peoria, Arizona. I started my college career at Florida College in Temple Terrace, Florida, then transferred to Western Kentucky University where I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Library Media Education and earned my teaching degree in both Library Media Education and in English. I have also earned a Master’s degree in Library and Information Science through the University of Kentucky! I have been the Library Media Specialist at Henry County Middle School since 1995, and I am currently a member of the Kentucky Association of School Librarians, the American Library Association, and the American Association of School Librarians.
